Pose-o-bility

The rig has basic functionality with fk arms and ik legs and a simple foot with ball roll and toe controls. I also sculpted a better low poly head :P

inspirational style



I love this commercial's style. It incorporates some of the ideas I have in my head for the final look of this short. It embraces the look and stylization of 3d, but uses strong motion and finishing to cohere the appeal. The facetted thing can look janky (see early attempts, like the Money For Nothing music video) but it doesn't have to, as in so much of animation, the way things move can make or break a piece.

Will it Blend

After a week of using Blender there are some things I like and some things that annoy me. Overall though the program seems pretty nice. In a un-related note I carved this pumpkin by hand for the pumpkin carving contest at work.
